Cindy Crawford, the famous supermodel, and her entrepreneur husband Rande Gerber have reportedly closed on a beach-front house in Point Dume, Malibu, which is just a few homes away from actress Julia Roberts' home.
Crawford and Gerber reportedly snagged the home after its price was reduced and they plan on razing it down to build a more modern reports Celebuzz. Crawford wants the house to be a dream home and has already embarked on a renovation project.
"Cindy wants this to be a Malibu dream home. She's been really involved in the design and so has Rande. They definitely have a vision," said a source to Celebuzz.
Recently, Gerber and Crawford were spotted inspecting the renovations there. The 48-year-old model was donning a casual blue jeans and white sleeveless top. She wore her chestnut locks down and looked every bit the evergreen beauty she is. Gerber was wearing dark trousers and matched it with a navy blue shirt with sleeves rolled up to the forearms.
Gerber was holding a notepad and analyzing a poster board that was filled with plans and pictures of their future home.
The house that the couple purchased is reportedly too outdated for Malibu standards. According to the Daily Mail, the home covers 2,400-square-feet and comprises of four bedrooms and four bathrooms. It has a private pathway to Little Dume beach, making it one of those rare homes that give private access to the oceanfront.
It will, however, be razed down soon to be replaced with a "modern, white stucco and wood, much larger house," according to Celebuzz.
A source told the website that the house will be an "eco-friendly, LEED-certified like Julia Roberts' house."
Crawford has two other properties in Malibu, one of which was put up for rent last year. The home costed $19,500 a month from September through May. The charges went up to $45,000 a month from June to August. The home is located in a gated and private area, just off the Pacific Coast highway.

Crawford, who was once married to charmer 'Richard Gere', has her own furniture line and an age-defying skin-care product line to her credit. She was recently in Manhattan promoting the line.
"It's cumulative and it's about avoiding the sun and it's about not smoking and it's about drinking a lot of water and getting enough sleep. It starts with what you put in your body, and exercise. All of those things that we all know, you have to do it," the Daily Mail quoted the supermodel.
