"Dexter" Star Michael C. Hall Looking to Flip in Los Feliz for $4.5 Million

Michael C. Hall, the eponymous anti-hero of the popular crime series "Dexter", has reportedly listed his home in Los F0eliz for $4.5 million, just a year after he bought it.

In what the Real Estalker would call "a classic case of real estate flu," Hall purchased the home in May 2013 for $3.8 million and has now put it up for sale, trying to flip it for a profit.

When Hall bought the home, he snagged a slight discount on the sale as it was listed for $3.92 million. Prior to purchasing the house, Hall lived in a starchitect designed home, built by famed Los Angeles designer Hal Levitt, in Hollywood Hills.

Hall sold the home in August 2012 for around $1.8 million. He had listed it for $1.99 million and despite selling it under the asking price made a slight profit as he had purchased the home for $1.75 million.

The Redfin Blog broke the news of the Los Feliz home listing.

According to public records, the house is a 5,600-square-feet, colonial-Spanish residence that is comprised of six bedrooms and six bathrooms. The double-storey home has French doors and windows, beamed ceilings and hardwood plus carpeted flooring.

The residence has a formal living room, a dining area, a family room, a sitting room and a modern kitchen. Outside, the home has a swanky pool and ample seating area around the pool.

The private compound has three structures on it - the main house, the parking garage and a detached guest house.

The listing is represented by Joshua Myler of The Agency. It describes the place as:

"This sensational Spanish Colonial, revived to perfection, stands proudest among the other notable properties on this most coveted street."

The "Six Feet Under" actor also listed another Hollywood Hills property in August last year, which he sold off in January 2014 for $2 million. Hall reportedly purchased the home in July 2012 for $1.9 million. Although he took a cut on the listed price, he still managed to rake in a $100,000 profit on the deal.

After seven years and eight seasons, "Dexter" wrapped up last year leaving fans a little disheartened with its final episode. Hall then grabbed a role in the indie movie "Cold In July," in which he plays a ...guess...? A killer (Of course!).

Speaking about the movie and doing the same kind of roles, Hall told the Mirror:

"There's no individual role that is going to undo the Dexterisation of your image," Hall, 43, admits. "But it's nice just to continue to move forward and start to mix it up."

"I was conscious of it when I looked at the Cold In July script and saw that my character killed someone in the first few pages," he adds. "The context, though, in which that happens is so fundamentally different, both in terms of the character himself and the world he's living in."
