'Madam Secretary' Season 2 Episode 10: Dalton & Elizabeth Go To Switzerland; Show To Be Cancelled Because Of Low Ratings?

In the new episode of "Madam Secretary" Season 2, two powerful leaders will go head to head as the conflict between U.S. and Russia rises.

According to Christian Today, in "Madam Secretary" Season 2 episode 10, President Dalton (Keith Carradine) and Russian Premier Maria Ostrov (Angela Gots) will be having peace talks after Elizabeth's (Téa Leoni) team speculated that Ukraine was the one behind the attack on the president's plane.

In episode 9, Intelligence pointed out that the mastermind behind the attack on the president's plane was in Russia, and Elizabeth's team was able to locate the suspect, only to find out that he was already dead. With the evidence against Russia piling up, the country was already ready to battle it out in the United Nations, but Henry (Tim Daly) was able to stop Elizabeth from revealing this accusation as his trusted source revealed that Russia was not behind the attack.

It was revealed that Henry was right, and the trail is now on to President Bozek (Lev Gorn) of Ukraine. It was discovered that he wanted the support of the United States against Russia in order to stop the latter from invading his country.

In episode 10, Elizabeth will accompany the president to Switzerland to meet with Ostrov to ask the Russians to sign a peace pact to stop an impending war between the two countries. It was shown in the previous episode that the female leader could be a tough contender, and she is someone who does not easily fold.

Meanwhile, Venture Capital Post reports that the previous episode of the show received the lowest rating so far with only 1.3 household ratings in the adult 18-49 demographic and 9.96 total viewers. Some speculate that this could lead to the show's cancellation, but no confirmations has been announced by CBS yet.

"Madam Secretary" Season 2 episode 10 will air on Dec. 13 on CBS.
