'Fear The Walking Dead' Season 2 Updates: Filming Begins; Possible 'The Walking Dead' Crossover To Happen In The Future?

"Fear the Walking Dead" has already begun its production for Season 2, and actress Kim Dickens, who plays Madison Clark, has teased some details on the new season.

According to Melty, "Fear the Walking Dead" has finally started filming in Mexico for Season 2. The report states that the show is now starting to work on their 15-episode sophomore season, and fans should look forward to scenes shot in Baja, Mexico. Showrunner Dave Erickson has expressed his excitement in the recently released press release for the show, saying that the cast and crew are thrilled to be in Mexico for the shooting.

Meanwhile, International Business Times reports that Dickens revealed in an interview that a crossover episode between "Fear the Walking Dead" and "The Walking Dead" is not out of the picture. Although it may be impossible because "Fear the Walking Dead" is set in a different place and timeline, the actress revealed that if the writers would want a crossover episode to happen in the future, she will be game for it.

In an earlier interview, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd revealed that a crossover episode is not geographically possible since the survivors in "The Walking Dead" haven't even made it to Washington just yet, but they are already near the state.

It was also earlier revealed that "Fear the Walking Dead" Season 2 will focus on more family drama now that the survivors have left Los Angeles to escape the undead. Cliff Curtis, who plays Travis, hinted that his character will deal with different family issues as well as his relationship with Madison in the new season.

As of writing, there is still no specific premiere date for "Fear The Walking Dead" Season 2, but it is expected to return sometime next year.
