NBA Rumors: Houston Rockets to Make Season-Changing Trade; Dwight Howard Included?

With 10 wins and 11 losses, the Houston Rockets is close to pressing their panic button. Being dubbed as top contender this season with James Harden and Dwight Howard to lead them, it seems like the team is having a hard time converting expectations into reality.

A feeling of despair is gradually being manifested by the team. The Rocket without any significant justification fired their head coach Kevin McHale and replacing him with J.B. Bickerstaff. This action of the team was well criticized by some NBA experts and enthusiasts, to the point of attributing the Rockets losing streak to the players' lack of effort and enthusiasm. "Houston fired its coach after a disappointing start to the season, but nothing will change unless the players actually give a real effort," said sbnation.

In addition to their significant move affecting McHale in the process, the Rockets are now being rumoured to make a season changing trade. The question now is whether the previous speculation of Dwight Howard wanting to move out from the Rockets will materialize on the said trade rumor. It was previously reported that "Dwight Howard could walk away from the Houston Rockets before this season's trade deadline amid building tensions within the Rockets organization."

However, Rockets fans should not yet be alarmed by the said scenario, for another angle is also being speculated regarding the said trade rumor. Clutchpoints reported that the upgrade of the team's roster would likely include the release of Terrence Jones in exchange for Markieff Morris of the Phoenix Suns. Marc Stein of ESPN posted via social media sharing that, "ESPN sources say the Houston Rockets have trade interest in Markieff Morris, who was a DNP-CD in the Suns' narrow loss Sunday to Memphis."

The said rumor of Morris under the radar of Rockets could somehow be true. And the speculations of it was somehow strengthened by the report of 98.7 Arizona Sports via clutchpoints saying that, "He likes Houston because of James Harden and Toronto because of Kyle Lowry, but he honestly doesn't care where he gets dealt as long as he is not wearing a Suns uniform."
