Adele Already Dropped '23' Without Anyone's Knowledge

While "25" continues to sell like hotcakes, fans and speculators may be surprised to know that Adele has already - in a way - dropped the anticipated follow up album after "21," without anyone's knowledge.

During her NBC concert special at New York City's Radio City Music Hall, Adele revealed that "Skyfall" was the one to fill the void between her previous and current album. So in a way, "Skyfall" was actually "23."

"I was 23 at the time," Adele shared. Interestingly enough, Adele further noted that "Skyfall" was actually the 23rd James Bond film, so it all made sense for her to write and record the installment's theme song, which eventually won an Oscar for Best Original Song.

Adele also revealed that when she recorded the track, she was pregnant with her son Angelo. At the time, the "register in her voice" changed a lot. Entertainment Tonight reports: "The now 27-year-old also reveals she was pregnant with her son, Angelo, when she recorded the track - changing the register in her voice. 'My voice was really low,' she says, admitting it's hard for her to perform the song live. Her son was later born on Oct. 19, 2012, just two weeks after the song was officially released."

In fact, the Radio City Music Hall concert special was the third time ever that Adele sang "Skyfall" live, after previously performing it at the 85th Academy Awards back in 2013 and another BBC concert special that aired in November.

In the upcoming NBC special, Adele can also be seen performing a handful of her new songs, including "Hello" and her latest single, "When We Were Young."

"Water Under the Bridge" was another song she performed, which is the third single of her "25" album, although she hasn't exactly released the song yet.

Catch Adele's concert special at Radio City Music Hall, aptly called "Adele: Live in New York City," when it airs on Monday, Dec. 14, on NBC at 10 pm.
