iPhone 6c Release Date & Rumors: 4-inch Phone Coming in March 2016, Features Front Cover Glass that Slightly Curves at the Edges; Apple Watch 2 Tipped On The Same Month

Tech giant Apple is planning to hold an event in March 2016 where it will showcase a new Apple Watch 2 and a new rumored 4-inch iPhone called the iPhone 6c, a report from The Verge said on Wednesday.

According to the report, details of the Apple's new 4-inch iPhone have been tipped by famous phone tipster and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Kuo claims that the Cupertino-based company will eventually integrate NFC in its next-generation smartphone which will be compatible with Apple Pay. Aside from this, he noted that iPhone 6c will be powered by A9 processor and will use the same camera specs found in iPhone 5S.

"Kuo believes that the new phone will have a metal case that comes in two or three color options, so it'll likely be more like the iPhone 5S than the iPhone 5C. This model may have an updated design, too, as Kuo expects it to have front cover glass that slightly curves at the edges, like the iPhone 6 and 6S. The 4-inch phone is also expected to have one major difference - aside from size - from Apple's newest phones: Kuo believes that it won't support 3D Touch," the report said.

9to5Mac reports that the company is currently developing new range of devices, from health sensors, cameras and smartphones. The company is also creating some new technologies that will be integrated in the Apple Watch models.

"Apple is currently planning a March 2016 event to unveil the second-generation Apple Watch, according to sources with knowledge of the plans. The second version of the Apple Watch would then ship by April, nearly a year after the original model first went on sale. A March event in 2016 would be the second March event in a row for Apple, marking a shift from the company solely holding major events in the second half of each calendar year," the report said.
