'Narcos' Season 2 Spoilers: Pablo Escobar Changes; Will The Good Guys Turn Bad?

It was just last September that Time reported that Netflix renews its original drama series "Narcos" for sophomore season. "Narcos" is about a drug fueled drama involving cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar in Colombia during the 1980s. Wagner Moura portrayed Escobar and "Game of Thrones" actor Pedro Pascal as DEA agent Javier Peña.

"Narcos" season one more of focuses about the history of Escobar and how powerful the drug industry was. Reportedly, the story is based from real-life agent Steve Murphy's point of view.

Christian Post has reported that "Narcos" star Moura revealed through Reddit some teasers for the season 2. Moura shared that he and the crew are already working on the second season. He said, "I really enjoyed doing the last scenes in La Catedral during the final episodes...In those episodes it was a different Pablo, he had changed... and that aims to what we are doing in the second season."

Aside from that, Moura also shared that he enjoys working with the rest of the cast especially with Juan Pablo Raba who portrays Gustavo Gaviria. However, he did not reveal much about his character and the changes that might come. But he said, "We are very happy and excited about it. The second season is gonna be awesome!"

Meanwhile, Jose Padilha, the show's executive producer and co-creator, shared that he even interviewed a couple of American DEA Agents to tell the story of Escobar and that helped him make Escobar's character into a human being.

During Padilha's interview with The Guardian, he talked about the story of Escobar and its first two episodes. "We didn't make that up. He was that crazy," he said.

"Escobar is just a megalomaniac whose desire and belief in his own grandeur [were actually fulfilled] because he stumbled upon cocaine, a small-time criminal who got lucky," he added.

"Listen, the bad guys, the good guys, they have something in common: they are human beings. Human beings who, depending on the context, may drop their ethical stance to get the job done ... This is what happens in real life," he teased. Could it mean that fans will see some dirty works from the DEA agents?

Meanwhile, Variety, Adam Fierro will take over as showrunner and exec producer for "Narcos" season 2. No official announcement has been made yet regarding the release date of "Narcos" Season 2. But according to rumors, it will be released on Netflix in August 2016. For the meantime, a Netflix engineer has developed a fun, addicting computer game to keep fans a little bit more engaged.
