Why Did Jared Leto Apologize to Taylor Swift?

Jared Leo made a serious apology on Monday after he reportedly said bad things about Taylor Swift's music and made below-the-belt comments about the pop singer. Earlier that day, a video of the 30 Seconds to Mars singer with his bandmate making fun of Swift while listening to her 2014 hit "1989" album emerged. The video instantly hit the media by storm, and it was said that Leto made a massive mistake of attacking the "Bad Blood" songstress.

Leto, 43,  was caught on video posted by TMZ in a studio session with his bandmate. The "Dallas Buyers Club" star can be seen saying "Oh, I don't like this at all," referring to Swift's "Welcome to New York" track.  Before the video ends, the Oscar winner is seen laughing while saying "F*** her!" referring to Swift. The "Suicide Squad" star, who plays Joker, received intense backlash from Swifters. However, the actor was quick to admit his mistake and took to Twitter to apologize.

"The truth is I think @taylorswift13 is amazing + an incredible example of what's possible," Leto tweeted on his page. "If I hurt her or her fans my sincerest apologies."

Leto's video was said to have been filmed some months back as his band tried to use Swift's "1989" songs as their inspiration. It is said that the 43-year-old had mistaken the line "long list of ex-lovers" for "Starbucks lovers."

As for the fans who expected that Leto will be the next biggest enemy of the Swift's gang, a simple tweet of apology assured that the actor/singer recognizes that he was wrong for what he said, Pop Sugar reports.

Leto's post had been retweeted more than 2,500 times and had been liked 4,100 times. As of writing, the 25-year-old "Bad Blood" singer hasn't commented on Leto's apology.
