'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers: Midseason Finale Disappointed Fans? Series In Danger Of Being Cancelled

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 midseason finale episode reportedly turned out to be a huge disappointment for fans.

According to Design & Trend, there were a lot of loopholes in the hit AMC show's fall finale episode. For instance, Carl's plot didn't translate well with fans who wanted to see the character in some major moments.

Unfortunately, Carl simply had an unnecessary fight with Jessie's son Ron. Even though the scene helped convince the latter that not everyone is a serial killer, the publication claimed that their scene didn't have any value to the entire episode.

Meanwhile, there were also very few scenes that featured Glenn on "The Walking Dead" Season 6. Ahead of the fall finale episode, fans learned that Glenn is alive, so they expected to see more of him in the finale. However, Glenn's reunion with his wife Maggie wasn't part of the episode's storyline. Rather, Glenn simply waited outside Alexandria as if contemplating on how and when to best return to his community.

Additionally, "The Walking Dead" Season 6 saw the death of Deanna Monroe. However, fans believe that the character didn't really have much significance to the show especially since she was just a "place holder."

In other news, "The Walking Dead" Season 6 will return to AMC sometime next year, and fans can expect more twists from the show. However, it seems that some of the fans are no longer as hooked to the series as they once were before because of the misleading storylines.

One fan @Cowpocalypse_Now wrote, "They are running out of ideas. Things are getting more random and watered down. Random people and events coming and going with no rhyme or reason. I know the end is near when I start seeing that. They got renewed for another season and I'll bet money it's the last one."

"The Walking Dead" Season 6 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
