"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" star Theo James finally confirmed the real status of his relationship with his co-star Shailene Woodley.
According to Movie News Guide, rumors have been circulating that James and Woodley have feelings for each other even though they are in a relationship with their respective partners. As of late, Woodley is still in a relationship with her boyfriend Nahko Bear, and James is still in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend Ruth Kearney.
The publication claims that James just postponed his wedding to Kearney because he still wants to figure out whether or not he has feelings for Woodley. Throughout the past couple of years, the onscreen couple has already worked in three films together. However, their partnership wouldn't end anytime soon because both of them will go on tour just before "Allegiant" hits theaters across the world.
Meanwhile, James previously confirmed during an interview that he spent quality time with Woodley as often as possible while they were filming "Allegiant." However, since the two already wrapped up shooting for their third film, they don't really get the chance to hang out anymore.
In other news, James also previously told HLN that he and Woodley is not an item. The actor also said that they are both invested in their respective relationships that they only see each other as friends.
Their fans have become extremely confused because they also notice the onscreen and off screen chemistry of both celebrities.
"No, we're not dating. We're good professionals! I'm just kidding. We get along great," he said.
At that time, James also said that his character Four will continue to evolve throughout the whole franchise. Fans can expect to see these developments in "Allegiant."
"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Mar. 18, 2016.
