"Elektra" creator Frank Miller doesn't seem happy with the idea of Elektra being included in the upcoming season 2 of Netflix-exclusive series "Daredevil."
According to IGN, while Frank Miller was attending Brazil's CCXP comic convention, he was asked if he has seen Marvel's "Daredevil." He gave a simple no. And when the topic came to Elektra being added to "Daredevil" in season 2, he said, "They can call it whatever you want, but not It will be the real Elektra." Moreover, when he was asked to talk about his attachment with the kick-ass female ninja he proudly said, "Yes, I'm her father."
According to Bleeding Cool, there is another trivia that surrounds the character of Elektra. It was reported that when Miller created Elektra as "Daredevil's" love interest and obstacle, he wanted to be assured that she will not be revived after her death. That doesn't seem to be the case for Marvel's Elektra now and that is why Miller has stated that whatever she is now, is not the "real deal."
According to Screen Crush, while Drew Goddard remains the consultant, the hit Netflix show has reportedly changed showrunners from Steven DeKnight to now Marco Rodriguez and Doug Petrie. But Rosario Dawson and Scott Glen will reprise their roles as Claire Temple and Sticks respectively. Daredevil or Matt Murdock will still be played by Charlie Cox. And as recently confirmed, Jon Bernthal ("The Walking Dead") will join as Frank Castle or The Punisher and Elektra will be played by Elodie Yung.
There are reports suggesting that Marvel's Mister Fear and "Spider-Man" villain Mysterio will be introduced in the season 2 of Netflix's "Daredevil" but these reports have yet to be confirmed.
Season 2 of Marvel's "Daredevil" will return to Netflix in April next year.
