In an interview with Burt Reynolds in the British talk show 'Loose Women,' the actor didn't mince words when he was asked about Charlie Sheen's HIV diagnosis.
He went for the dagger right away by saying that he isn't sorry for what Sheen is going through right now, because he has misbehaved badly and he's just merely 'getting what he deserves.'
Charlie's father, Martin Sheen, was a close friend of Burt Reynolds. He noted that he does feel a little bit of sympathy for his father, especially since he has been nothing but a fine man.
The 79-year-old actor said that when someone misbehaves like that, the likelihood of their actions getting to them eventually is very high. He understands that given the 'Two and a Half Men' actor's age, this ordeal might be extra tough.
The comments made by Burt Reynolds were received with criticism by the public, and the backlash was clearly felt on Twitter. Users called him out for being nasty, and they thought that his comments were unwarranted.

Reynolds himself has also been hounded with HIV diagnosis rumors back in the 1980s, and he said that people accused him of such thing because he developed an addiction with painkillers during that time and his drastic weight loss.
He shared in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that he just immersed himself with work so that he could ignore the malicious rumors that surrounded him years ago. It was simply an 'awful time' for the former sex symbol.
