After the sighting of actress Dakota Johnson in New York sporting a new hair color, fans are now speculating that Anastasia Steele might gog blonde in the new "Fifty Shades Darker" film that will premiere in 2017.
According to Christian Post, the actress created buzz when she was spotted walking around New York City with blonde hair. Since she is expected to reprise her role as Anastasia in the movie, many speculate that the production might be planning on making the character blonde. This is quite different from the character in the book which had brown hair, which reportedly signify the character's innocence.
However, some sources say that it is unlikely to happen since the production of "Fifty Shades Darker" doesn't start until a couple of months due to previous issues on the new director of the film. There is a huge chance that Johnson was only sporting the new look for her more recent projects and not for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel.
It was earlier reported that she will be in the movie "How to Be Single" with "Pitch Perfect" star Rebel Wilson and will play the role of a woman who just got off from a long-term relationship. The film is said to premiere sometime in 2016.
Meanwhile, it is expected that a major character will be coming back for the sequel, but the actress to play the role of Leila Williams in "Fifty Shades Darker" remains unknown. Movie Pilot reports that "Pretty Little Liars" star Lucy Hale is being considered for the role.
Aside from Hale, a number of actresses have been rumored to be cast for the role like Katie Cassidy. In an interview, Hale revealed that she auditioned for "Fifty Shades of Grey," and she described the experience as "uncomfortable."
"Fifty Shades Darker" will premiere on the silver screen in February 2017.
