Virginia Madsen, the "Sideways" actress, has reportedly purchased a home in Hollywood Hills for $1.18 million just after selling her Thousand Oaks residence.

The Trulia Blog broke the news of the purchase stating that Robert Koss of Hilton & Hyland represented Madsen in the deal.

Madsen's brand new purchase is an uber-cool single-family residence that spans an area of 1,937 square feet. The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms spread across two stories.

There is a separate dining space and decks open out from the bedrooms. The master suite has large closets and a sleek bathroom with custom vanities and matching white faucets.

Interiors of the home feature tiled and hardwood flooring, high drywall ceilings and wood framed windows and doors.

Living spaces include a double-height formal dining area, a drawing room, a theater, a sitting room and a modern kitchen with custom cabinetry and a mid-rise island with a granite counter-top.

Madsen owns a condo in West Hollywood and she shares ownership of the residence with her mother.

Madsen shot to fame with her role in "Sideways" after appearing in several films aimed at the teenage audience. Before stardom could take her to new heights, she lived in Los Angeles. She could hardly pay the mortgage and the bank was repossessing her residence.

Recalling the days, she told The Independent in a 2007 interview:

"That was the lowest of many low points."

However, after she won an Oscar nomination for "Sideways", life became easier.
