The "Minecraft" Wii U Edition will be playable on Dec. 17.
The "Minecraft" Wii U Edition upcoming release has made "Minecraft" and Nintendo fans are finally rejoicing. The ported game will be available on the Nintendo Digital Store on Dec. 17.
"Minecraft" Wii U Edition, the very popular sandbox-survival game from Mojang, will finally hit the official Nintendo online store on Dec. 17 and will include popular content add-on that were previously released on other platforms, where the game was released a long time ago. As per announcement, available add-ons for in game purchases include "The Simpson" and "Dr. Who."
The "Minecraft" Wii U Edition game has already been released on Microsoft's consoles, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, Sony's PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 and on the PC, Wired reported.
"Minecraft" Wii U Edition fans are actually just waiting for the date of release since there had been a few indications that "Minecraft: Wii U Edition" exist and is about to be released. Not too long ago, the Pan European Game Information or (PEGI) have posted the rating for the game, but were taken down immediately because it was not supposed to be posted yet. ESRB is PEGI's counterpart for North America.
Speculations about the "Minecraft" Wii U Edition release date started immediately following the previously announced Nov. 12 during Nintendo's live stream. Unfortunately, it was not pushed through, which made "Minecraft" Wii U Edition disappointed, Ecumenical News reported.
"Minecraft" is the considered to be one of the top selling games of all time and has greatly helped Microsoft with its revenue. The "Minecraft" game was originally developed by a Swedish programmer named Markus "Notch" Persson, Mojang published it and was first released in May 2009. Microsoft acquired Mojang and "Minecraft" in 2015 for $2.5 billion.
"Minecraft: Wii U Edition" has been confirmed to be release on Dec. 17 for $29.99 on Nintendo's digital game store.
