The New Orleans Pelicans is now in the list of teams who want to acquire the Phoenix Suns forward, Markieff Morris.
The NBA trade rumor season is on peak, and Morris is one of the more prominent names who are involved in so many rumors. Morris demanded a trade after his twin brother, Marcus Morris, was traded to Detroit Pistons.
There was also a rumor earlier this week that the Houston Rockets are interested in acquiring Morris, but they are not willing to trade Terrence Snow, and now, the New Orleans Pelicans shows interest to be a possible trade partner to the Phoenix Suns, as reported by HNGN.
The report says that the Phoenix Suns and the New Orleans Pelicans have been talking about the trade, but the latter team has to pause it due to the fact that Morris is facing a felony (aggravated assault) charges that are currently pending. However, the New Orleans Pelicans apparently do really like the idea of Morris and Anthony Davis team up in the frontcourt.
Teams deal to where they have the advantages, and the Morris twins had done their leverage wiped out by the public messiness of the situation. With Morris not playing good enough to keep which is not really affecting the situation, another door opens for a trade. There goes Houston Rockets showing their interest to acquire Morris.
According to CBS Sports, Morris has played 52 percent of his minutes this season at the power forward position where he is really good. He is good at defense and plays inside a little more effectively than Ryan Anderson. On the other hand, Anderson and Davis have been outscored by three points per 100 possessions when they are both on the floor, which is a good mark for the New Orleans Pelicans, with as bad as they have been.
