After the mysterious previous episode of "How To Get Away With Murder" Season 2, fans are now wondering what Annalise's (Voila Davis) connection with Wes (Alfred Enoch) is.
In the previous episodes, viewers have observed that Annalise seems to have a soft spot for Wes, and in episode 9, it was revealed that Annalise may have something to do with Wes when he was still a child. In the flashback scene in "How To Get Away With Murder" season 2 episode 9, it was revealed that Annalise has known Wes when he was still a kid. A younger Annalise and Eve (Famke Janssen) are both shown in a police station where there was also a young boy named Christoph who was questioned about his mother's suicide. It was said that this young boy was Wes.
According to International Business Times, it seems like Annalise and Eve had something to do with Wes' mother's death. When Annalise called Wes by the name of Christoph when he shot her, Wes was dumbfounded that she knew something about his past.
Movie News Guide reports that executive producer Pete Nowalk revealed in an interview that things between Annalise and Wes is a "mess" and that this revelation can change everything. He added that it will be hard for both of them to recover from the revelation.
He added that when the show returns, the viewers will get so see flashback scenes from Wes' childhood and how Annalise is connected with his mother's death. He also hinted that the viewers will also know the real killer of the Hapstalls and he said that the show won't linger on that story for too long.
