Real Estate News: Dubai Real Estate Firm Removes Donald Trump's Name From Project

Donald Trump's Dubai real estate firm partner, who is building a $US 6 billion golf complex with the presidential aspirant, has stripped the property of his name and image. This is in response over Trump's proposal to ban all Muslims from entering the US, an ariticle from Stuff.co.nz reported.

Trump triggered a worldwide uproar when he mentioned these comments in response to the California shootings last week. According to reports, two Muslims who were radicalized initiated the attack.

DAMAC Properties said before that it would stand by the presidential hopeful even as one of the billionaire's Middle East real estate partners has stopped the sale of Trump Home products on Wednesday. However, looking at the signage that it has over one of its development projects in the region, something seems to be missing from the sign.

Niall McLoughlin, DAMAC Properties spokesman, did not comment on why the Trump name and image have been removed from a billboard and sign at the entrance of the construction site.

The billboard has Trump's image sporting a red hat and swinging a golf club. The image also contained a photo of Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump who is the executive vice president of Trump Organization. Remnants of the sign that spelled out Trump International Golf Club in gold letters were seen scattered nearby.

The billion-dollar AKOYA by DAMAC project was said to include a Trump-branded golf course, a spa and a gated island community facilities. Aside from AKOYA, the US presidential candidate is also building a second golf course, the Tiger Woods-designed Trump World Golf Club located in another DAMAC property in Dubai called AKOYA Oxygen.

Donald Trump, despite his recent comments about banning Muslims in the US, has recently lifted the presidential hopeful to a new all-time high among Republican primary voters. This is according to a New York Times article. It said that Americans are more fearful of another terrorist attack compared to any other time since 9/11 which possibly caused the Republican candidate to rise up the polls. Trump called for monitoring mosques and banning Muslims from entering the United States.
