‘Destiny: The Taken King’ Gameplay: Bungie Teases Upcoming Updates, Events, Features & Contents, Will Be Released in Early 2016

Game developer Bungie has officially shared some of the company's plans about its popular video game, "Destiny: The Taken King." It can be recalled that recent rumors about the game have pointed out that the company will release an event-based updates, features and other contents, a report from Gamespot said on Friday.

According to the report, community manager Eric Osborne has addressed some concerns about the recent rumors in lieu of the "Sparrow racing League" which is slated to be released in the coming weeks. "To put it bluntly, you seem worried that there won't be any more substantial content until we ship another full game, or that all of the content for the rest of Year Two will come in the form of timed events," he said as quoted in the report.

Osborne disclosed that "developments planned for Destiny's not-so-distant future." This will eventually include "events, activities, content, and features" with "some events and some activities that will become additions to your Director."

"The first of these early 2016 experiences will be on a scale close to Festival of the Lost. The second will be far larger than anything you've seen since the release of The Taken King. There's also another significant update to the world and sandbox planned in this same window," he continued.

"The Sparrow Racing League (SRL) event lasts through the end of the month and is available to all players who own The Taken King expansion. There's also plenty of new items to earn from Sparrow racing, including 320 Light level gear and new cosmetic items, so be sure to get some race time in before the event concludes. The SRL Event runs for the next three weeks, wrapping up on December 29th. Players can track their progress and view the event timer on the main Bungie SRL website," US Gamer said.
