"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" cast member Shailene Woodley will reunite with her "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" co-star Laura Dern for an upcoming show on HBO. Woodley and Dern also co-starred in John Green's book adaptation for "The Fault In Our Stars" for the big screen.
According to Vulture, Dern wouldn't have a hard time adjusting with her new cast members because she also previously worked with Reese Witherspoon in "Wild."
Meanwhile, Variety reports that Dern was one of the last actors to sign with HBO's new series, "Big Little Lies." As of late, the official synopsis for the show hasn't been revealed yet, but it will be adapted from Liane Moriarty's 2014 novel.
Moriarty's book chronicles the lives of three moms of kindergarten students who have been living perfect lives. However, one shocking twist in their lives will lead them to working together and potentially murdering people.
"Big Little Lies" will be executive produced by Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman. The latter will also star in the new series.
In other news, Woodley hasn't commented yet on her recent casting. The actress recently wrapped up the filming for "Allegiant" which is expected to hi theaters in the United States during the first quarter of 2016. In the film, Woodley will reprise her role as Tris who will team up with Theo James' character Four.
The last installment to the franchise will also see the death of Woodley's character. During a previous interview, book author Veronica Roth said that there are no plans to create an alternate ending for the sake of fans.
"I know changes always makes fans of the books - and the author! - nervous, but hopefully the characters we know (and love. Or sometimes love to hate?) will still be intact, which is really the important thing," Roth said.
"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" will premiere on March 18, 2016.
