Owen Nolan, the now-retired Ice Hockey player, has reportedly listed his home in San Jose for $4.9 million.
The Los Angeles Times broke the news of the listing noting that Mark Chiavetta of Coldwell Banker is the listing agent. Public records show that the property last sold in 1999 for $625,000.
Nolan must have built the large multi-winged residence on the 3.16 acre lot after he purchased the barren lot because records also show that the house was built in 2010.
The residence is a 9,464-square-feet single-family home, comprising of five bedrooms and eight and a half bathrooms.
The home, perching on a hilltop, boasts of hardwood flooring, high cathedral coffered ceilings and large glass doors and windows that offer beautiful views of the cityscape below.
Living spaces of the home include a formal drawing room, a family room, a separate dining area, a recreation room, a library and an office. A den and a bonus room complete the number of living quarters. The modern gourmet kitchen has a breakfast nook and a mid-rise island as well.
The bedrooms can be accessed through a flight of stairs leading to the upper level. The master suite has a huge bath with a Jacuzzi tub and large walk-in closets. There are several balconies that open out from the bedrooms.
Outside, the house has ample greens and an attached car garage as well.
The listing claims that the home is "nestled in the foothills overlooking the Silicon Valley" and "features exceptional craftsmanship and quality."
"Enjoy the breathtaking views and sunsets from numerous vantage points on this vast 3.16 acre lot," it states.

The listing doesn't mean Nolan will be bidding goodbye to the area yet. The former Sharks captain owns another house in the area that he purchased in 2013 for $1.86 million. He bought the property just a year after he sold off his Mount Hamilton ranch for $2.65 million.
"I have no plans to go anywhere. My kids were born here, and my wife is from here. It's a great place to raise a family," referring to San Jose, Nolan told the San Jose Mercury News in a previous interview.
