After "Fifty Shades of Grey" terrible reviews it came as a shock for the movie to be nominated for a Golden Globe Awards. All thanks to Ellie Goulding's hit song, "Love Me like You Do" the franchise earned a spot in the prestigious award body.
According to Latin Post, it was through Goulding's popular song that "Fifty Shades of Grey" is now part of the Golden Globe nominations, competing with other franchise films such as "Furious 7" and "Spectre."
It has been reported that it is not highly expected for Goulding to win, however, this will help the franchise to earn more exposure. It will also be interesting to know if Goulding's song will also be nominated for the Oscar's since it is qualified for it. But now, the big question is will Goulding be back to sing again for "Fifty Shades Darker?"
Meanwhile, Movie Pilot shared some surprising plot spoiler which says that it is possible for Anastasia Steele to return in "Fifty Shades Darker" with a blonde hair.
It has been known that Anastasia's brunette hair played a significant role to character. This encouraged Christian Grey's desire to dominate as he admits that the main reason why he enjoys S&M and bondage because he "likes to whip little brown-haired girls that look like my mother."
This became a fuzz when Dakota Johnson was spotted in New York City with her new blonde hair. Fashion & Style reported that it raised some questions whether Dakota's new look got something to do with the sequel of "Fifty Shades." It could also be that the franchise's new director, James Foley, will use Ana's new look to take her character to a surprising twist.
In Dakota's interview with Elle, she revealed that it does not bother her that people laughs on how absurd her character as Anastasia Steele in "The Fifty Shades of Grey" as she said, "I needed Anastasia to be funny."
Johnson added, "If you can't laugh during a movie like that, you're f**ked, literally." And on the later part she said, "You need to have something that everyone can relate to."
But will the blonde Anastasia be appealing enough for Christian's desires?
"Fifty Shades Darker" is expected to hit theatres in February 2017.
