Renńe Zellweger, the "Bridget Jones's Diary" actress, has reportedly re-listed her large estate in Connecticut for sale with an asking price of $1.6 million.
This is not the first time that the Oscar-winning star is trying to unload it. The estate was put up for sale with a $1.5 million price tag in late 2011, the same year she split with Bradley Cooper. "The Hangover" star and Zellweger broke up after dating for two years and reportedly Cooper's career was the reason behind the split.
Zellweger reportedly tried to give her 100 percent to the relationship, even moving from her New York City home to Los Angeles just to be with him. However, it wasn't meant to last.
At that time, the property was listed with Jonathan Radford of Coldwell Banker Real Estate.
But this time, the estate is up for grabs again at a slightly higher price and with a new realtor - Joanna Dresser of Christie's International Real Estate, the Zillow Blog reports.
Zellweger purchased the property in 2004. Popularly known as the Cotton Tavern, the farmhouse sits on a 37-acre lot. The country retreat has a 3,463-square-foot main house that stands three stories tall and has a symmetrical, neoclassical façade.
Interiors of the home show light hardwood flooring, high beamed ceilings, large glass windows and French doors.
Living spaces include a formal living area, a dining room, a family room, recreation room, updated modern kitchen with a mid-rise island and a study or library with dark wood cabinetry.
Outside, the home is surrounded in landscaped greens. There is a pool, an antique barn, a helicopter landing area and an entertainment pavilion as well. There are guest cottages and outhouses on the property as well.
The listing describes the place as:
"The perfect refuge, this rural country retreat is set on 38 acres of enchanting grounds overlooking the Quinebaug River and features open fields, woodlands, gardens, and dry stone walls ensuring privacy. The estate is comprised of the main Colonial-Federal residence, guest cottage, recreation barn and outbuildings."
