'The Originals' Season 3 Episode 10 Spoilers: EP Explains Shocking Mid-Season Finale Death; Klaus Vows To Get Revenge

After the shocking mid-season finale death in "The Originals" Season 3, the executive producers have teased the reason behind it and what fans can expect when the show returns next year after the holiday break. [Spoiler Alert!]

According to the recap by Christian Post, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Cami (Leah Pipes) finally had their most anticipated kiss of the season only for the former to find out that the latter was killed by his ex-lover the morning after. It was reported that Klaus' crazy ex-lover Aurora (Rebecca Breeds) killed Cami by slashing her throat and she placed her beside Klaus.

During Pipes' earlier interview, she may have hinted the end of her character in the show when she talked about Cami's relationship with Klaus and how Cami really feels about the original hybrid. She hinted that Aurora is definitely done with Cami and that fans should expect something in the mid-season finale, which turned out to be true.

International Business Times reports that executive producer Julie Plec revealed in an interview that the writers decided to incorporate Cami's death in the story to show how crazy Aurora can be and to be able to establish the character as one of the bug villains that the show has to deal with. Plec however revealed that this is not the end for the Cami and that fans will be able to see her again.

Meanwhile, it is expected that Klaus will want to get revenge for what happened to Cami, and Plec revealed her excitement about it. In the promotional video for "The Originals" Season 3 episode 10, Klaus declares that he will get his revenge and that it will be "swift and brutal." In the video, Freya (Riley Voelkel) can also be seen worrying on the subject of the prophecy on her family.

"The Originals" Season 3 is currently on a break, and episode 10 is scheduled to air on The CW on Jan. 29, 2016.
