Pearl Jam Hints 2016 Tour; Reveals Plans For 25th Year Anniversary

Pearl Jam is turning 25 next year and they have promised fans a tour to celebrate it.

The band's bassist Jeff Ament and manager Kelly Curtis were part of Twitter Q&A on Saturday, Dec. 12, which revealed next year's plan, Alternative Nation shares.

Curtis revealed that Pearl Jam will tour in 2016 but the first batch of the dates are yet to be announced at the turn of th year and they are looking at Tampa, Florida and Canada as among the planned destinations.

There is also a plan to celebrate the band's 25th anniversary but no details have been provided as to its specifics. It can be recalled, however, that during the band's 20th anniversary, the held a 3-day music festival.

When asked about the possibility of playing during the Super Bowl in the future, the manager's answer was vague at most, "Ask me in 10 years OR if the Superbowl is ever in Seattle. Never say never, but..."

Ament added that it would be a dream come true to play in Finland and other places he'd like to play at live. "Lets get the map out....there's a bunch... Havre, MT Bluffton, MN Hania, Crete Western Somoa Mumbai JA." 

In addition, he shared a fond memory of the set they had way back in 1992. "We played 45 minute sets back then....oh how fondly I remember those 45 minute sets :)"

Meanwhile, a fan asked if Pearl Jam would pen a song titled "Trumpleaguer," the bassist replied, "Born on home plate, thinks he got a triple."

The bad news is, there are no plans to release the studio version of "Of the Earth" to date. He also shared that is a fan of Cage The Elephant and Royal Blood and referred Chris Cornell "one of the all time greats."
