The episode 8, which will be the winter finale of 'Supergirl,' synopsis teases that Kara will be facing off with Astra [Laura Benanti] after her aunt challenges Kara's beliefs about her mother. Moreover, Cat will be threatened to be removed as the CEO of CatCo after some hacker has managed to expose her 'private and damaging emails.'
Moving on, the news that Hank (David Harewood) is actually the last son of Mars (J'onn J'onzz) was revealed in the previous episode of 'Supergirl' that aired last Monday.
Apparently, Hank has too many identities because he is a shapeshifter who has been changing identities for some time. He told Alex this secret of his, but asked her to keep it a secret especially to her sister, Kara (Melissa Benoist).
"It's so funny the way she reacts," the 27-year-old actress told Collider. "I can't wait for you guys to see it. I don't want to tell you because it's really funny. It's a good thing; she's really happy about it."
Moreover, another good news is set to take place for Kara in the series. Benoist told Collider that a love interest will be entering the show. Her real-life husband and former "Glee" co-star, Blake Jenner, will be taking the limelight as Adam Foster, her love partner in the show. How their lovelife will start, develop and prosper will not be as easy as Kara flying up high.
"Her love life is so complicated. All of her relationships are so complicated. By the time that [Adam] shows up a lot has happened with the other men in her life. I like to think that, sometimes, the better Supergirl gets at her job, Kara's personal life kind of suffers. You can't juggle everything and be good at everything all at once. When she meets Adam that's definitely the wrench in the machine of her life, in terms of CatCo," the actress said.
"Supergirl season 1," episode 8, entitled "Hostile Takeover," airs on CBS on Monday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m.
