A previous report has mentioned that multiplayer beta participants of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" would be given a glimpse of the four classes of sidekicks and five mythical that has been revealed in a trailer released October during the beta period that ran from Dec. 4 through Dec. 13. The beta that recently ended was exclusive to those who bought "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection." Those who were not able to participate in the closed beta would have to wait until March to be able to play "Uncharted 4."
According to GameSpot, that was the last and final beta for the highly anticipated third-person shooter from Naughty Dog. The developer has no plans of hosting another beta before the game's release date. As a comment on the PlayStation Blog post, Naughty Dog's Community Strategist Arne Meye has replied that there are no plans of any open beta in the future.
In another report it was reported that following the multiplayer beta, fan outrage has sparked over the absence of Steve Valentine as the voice behind "Uncharted" character Harry Flynn. A certain KnivesHaveMyBack has expressed his extreme disappointment in the PlayStation Forums.
While it is normal for game developers to hold either open or closed beta in order to gather feedback from the community from bugs, graphics to story lines, it is rather surprising that fans have reacted with disappointment over not hearing Steve Valentine as Flynn's voice. A tweet from Steve Valentine himself proves that he was not involved in the development of "Uncharted 4," while he has also expressed gratitude for the support that fans have given him on the matter. He was the voice of Flynn in "Uncharted 2 and 3."
According to Design and Trend, Arne Meyer has responded by saying, "It's another great thing for you to jump in the forums with your feedback. It's something that we're looking into, so we'll just leave it at that for now. This is exactly what leaving feedback is, and we'll see what we can do."
Whether Naughty Dog will have another beta for "Uncharted 4" that is entirely up to company as the developer but for now the developer has a concern raised some members of the community that must be addressed as soon as possible.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will release on PS4 on March 18, 2016.
