Chad Smith, the drummer of the famous rock band "Red Hot Chili Peppers," has reportedly picked up an eco-friendly pied-a-Terre in Venice, Calif., for $2.77 million.
Smith and his architect wife Nancy Mack own a huge house in Point Dume, Malibu, which is their primary residence. The Venice house the couple bought is much smaller than their Point Dume home.
The Real Estalker (via Variety) first spotted the sale of the house and identified the buyer as Chad Smith. The house in question here has just been given a green makeover and was first listed for $2.8 million in May, this year.
At that time, Curbed spotted its features and reported the listing "because it's a well put together house and everyone needs somewhere to live."
The residence is indeed a gem of single-family house that sits on a gated 4,188-square-foot lot. It spans an area of 2,800 square feet and is comprised of three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms.
The home boasts of a concrete and glass façade. The house boats of floor-to-ceiling glass windows, high 11-foot ceilings, white oak and concrete flooring all set in an open contemporary floor plan.
The two-storey home has an exclusive roomy office space, a mixed living and dining area with an open modern kitchen. The bedrooms are all on the upper level and have their own patios and en-suite bathrooms.
Outside, the house has an open patio facing a lush green yard. There is an attached parking garage too.
Mark Kitching of Partners Trust held the listing of the LEED-certified home. Elizabeth LaGrua of Nourmand & Associates assisted Smith in the deal.
