Kim Kardashian and rapper husband Kanye West have reportedly purchased a huge $20 million residence in the Hidden Hills area of California.
Kardashian told People Magazine at a recent event that she and Kanye were going to move out of her momager (mom+manager) Kris Jenner's home.
"Soon [we'll be moving out of my mom's]. It might be a few months, but I'm not sure. We just found a new, amazing place," she said.
According to E!Online, the couple is now in contract to buy a 8,000-square-foot house that once belonged to Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley's daughter.
The home is reportedly a French-style manor sitting on a large 3-acre lot. There are two swimming pools, eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, saunas and steam showers as well as a full-fledged vineyard at the rear of the house.
The new house is just beside Kris Jenner's Calabasas residence. Kim told People that she was more than ready to have her own family home.
"I am so ready to be out of my mom's house, you have no idea. But it will be nice to still be close," she said.
Kim and Kanye bought an $11 million Bel Air home last year and embarked on a flamboyant renovation. They wanted to add every possible amenity in the house right from a salon to a hospital. However, since the renovations were taking forever, the couple got frustrated and decided to abandon the residence altogether. They now want to sell it, unfinished.
"When we bought our Bel Air house, we didn't have a baby, we weren't even pregnant. After you have a baby, you realize that you need so many other things and a different kind of space. So being in the city is a different life. We wanted to be away and have more privacy," Kim explained to People.
News of the purchase comes just a day after some insiders quipped to Hollywood Life that Kim didn't want to move because her mom did everything for her and living there was so much easier. Kris was apparently fed up with the nuisance Kim created with the number of nannies and assistant and that it was the reason Kendall Jenner moved out!
However, now that Kim and Kanye are getting a new house, peace in the Kardashian paradise should be restored.
