Ryan Madsen, the former relief pitcher for Philadelphia Phillies, is reportedly selling his home in the Temecula Hills of California for $1.75 million.
The Los Angeles Times broke news of the sale, noting that Dan Evans of California Home Pros is representing the residence.
Property records show that Madsen purchased the place for $1.2 million in 2012, a year after he left the Phillies. In fact, Madsen missed the whole 2012 season before signing up with the Cincinnati Reds. He has, however, been a free agent and not pitched in the last two seasons.
In fact, Madsen listed his Cincinnati home last year for $2.199 million. He purchased that home in February 2013 for $1.75 million and flipped it within months as his contract with the Cincinnati reds was short-lived.
The Temecula Hills home is a plush property spanning an area of 4,984 square feet. The house sits on a 1.87-acre lot and is comprised of five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms.
Interiors of the home feature stone-tiled and paneled hardwood flooring with large windows and arched hallways.
Living spaces include a formal living area, dining room, a modern kitchen with granite counter tops and custom cabinetry. There is a temperature controlled office and the master suite has a large bath with a walk-in shower.
Outside, the home has a pool with waterfall features, a grotto, a beach entry, a 4-car parking garage and ample recreation areas and a vineyard. There is a lit-up basketball court as well.
"It really doesn't get any better than this single level wine country beauty. The private drive leads you to the 4 car garage and courtyard entry with sitting area and fireplace. The stunning residence is a work of art with top of the line EVERYTHING."
