LaDainian Tomlinson, the now-retired running back who played eleven seasons in the National Football league, has managed to find a buyer for his expansive San Diego estate.
The Realtor Blog first spotted the "Sale pending" sign on the home's listing. The house was listed for $3.49 million in July.
This is not the first time that the home is appearing on the market. Property records show that the 13-acre estate went on and off the market several times since 2011. It last listed for $3.75 million in February, this year, but was delisted after a short while only to resurface with a reduced price tag.
The home is being marketed by Daniel Beer of Windermere Homes & Estates and Kofi Natei Nartey of The Agency.
Nartey explained that Tomilson and his wife have moved back to Texas and no longer need the estate in San Diego, which is why he is selling.
Tomilson purchased the property in 2004, when it was just built and has reportedly enjoyed every bit of time spent in the lavish residence, Nartey told the Zillow Blog.
The estate sits in the exclusive Poway neighborhood of The Heritage Estates and is inclusive of a 9,610-square-feet, single-family, multi-winged residence.
The home has five bedrooms and six bathrooms that boast of swanky interiors of paneled hardwood flooring, cathedral wood-beamed ceilings, large glass doors and windows and marble counter tops.
The home is laden with luxury amenities like a temperature controlled wine cellar, a Jacuzzi, walk-in closets in the master suite, gourmet kitchen with a mid-rise island and a full-fledged screening room, which has old cars parked in it to give the feel of a 50's drive-in! The living area has a stone fireplace.
Outside, the home has rolling greens, a basketball court, a swimming pool that apparently glows in the night and also has a pirate bridge and a detached guest house. There is ample parking space as well.

Tomilson, lovingly called with his initial "L.T", played college football for his alma mater Texas Christian University. He was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 2001 fifth overall pick and went on to play with the team for a major part of his career. Tomilson holds the record for making the most rushing touchdowns in a season.
