Watch Kacey Musgraves Cover Coldplay's 'Yellow' at Royal Variety Performance

Kacey Musgraves had a huge honor of performing at the Royal Variety Performance in London last month. But that's probably because Prince Harry was watching from the audience.

Wearing a yellow gown paired with a low ponytail and red lips, Kacey - the only country artist on the stage that evening -- sang her own rendition of Coldplay's "Yellow." Rolling Stone explains:

"Joined by longtime partner Misa Arriaga, Musrgraves took a folksy approach to Coldplay's first hit, slowing the tempo significantly and subbing two acoustic guitars for the original's electric stomp. Arriaga joins her on harmonies during the chorus, and the result is sparse and lovely, somewhat reminiscent of Gillian Welch's duets with Dave Rawlings."

If you still can't believe how good of a performance that was, Telegraph has given Kacey Musgraves' performance the number 1 act for the night's performance:

"Fright-frock asides, the classily-understated Musgraves was here to remind us of that old show-business maxim that less is often more."

The Royal Variety Performance was hosted by Jack Whitehall, and included performances from Elton John, One Direction, Kylie Minogue, Brandon Flowers, Cirque du Soleil, Little Mix, Josh Groban, Ricky Martin, and even comedian Ramesh Tanganathan.

After the event, the "Pageant Material" singer even shared some Instagram photos from the night. There's even one where she's high-fiving Prince Harry!

The photo was wittingly captioned, "When Texas meets Royalty. #casual #highfives #idontknowtherules." Check it out here.

Kacey is definitely keeping herself busy with a hectic schedule. Just after concluding her European tour a few days before Thanksgiving, she's currently gearing up for a 3-day concert series with Willie Nelson in Austin, Texas at ACL Live.

Musgraves will then resume her tour, called the "Kacey Musgraves Country & Western Rhinestone Revue" shortly after her stint with Willie Nelson.
