‘Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans’ News: English Dub New Cast Revealed; Episode 11 Review, Serves as Palate Cleanser

Drum roll please for the new cast of "Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" English Dub has been revealed. Another voice actor is now named to join the cast. This announcement has been made via the official Facebook page of the mecha anime.

Crunchyroll reports first that the official Gundam Global Portal has revealed the voice actor that will do the role of Biscuit Griffon in "Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" anime series. The portal named Erik Scott Kimerer as the additional cast for the said the character.

Kimerer will be joining voice actors who have been announced early on. It has been previously revealed that Johnny Yong Bosch, Kyle McCarley, and Cherami Leigh will do the characters of Orga, Mikazuki, and Kudelia of "Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" respectively.

Fandom Post says that the role of Biscuit Griffon is played by Natsuki Hanae in the original Japanese language version of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans." So far, there are still 4 characters that have been filled for the English Dub. Thus, it is noted that there will be more cast that would be revealed in the future since the Gundam series has a large size of cast.

The Japanese cast of "Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" are "Kengo Kawanishi as Mikazuki Augus, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Orga Itsuka, Natsuki Hanae as Biscuit Griffon, Yuichiro Umehara as Eugene Seven Stark, Yasuaki Takumi as Akihiro Artland, Taishi Murata as Norba Shino, Kōhei Amasaki as Takaki Uno, Sōma Saitō as Yamagi Gilmerton, Mutsumi Tamura as Ride Mass, Yuka Terasaki as Kudelia Aina Bernstein, Hisako Kanemoto as Atra Mixta, Takahiro Sakurai as McGillis Fareed and Masaya Matsukaze as Gaelio Bauduin."

According to Anime News Network,Bang Zoom! Entertainment plans to release the English dub of"Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" in early 2016.

On a different news, the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" is still aired in Japan Television with 2 more episodes left. The penultimate episode seems to receive a good rating from critics. According to Reno Gazette Journal, the mecha anime appears like "palate cleanser that fans of more serious mobile suit fare needed."

This is because the anime focuses on the "a futuristic world of the haves and have nots, including familiar themes such as war and politics while also adding a bigger focus on other serious topics such as poverty and child exploitation." The critic said that "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" is truly advancing to be "one of the better serious Gundam TV shows since Mobile Suit Gundam 00."
