Frozen 2 Spoilers & Release Date: Director Chris Buck Hints of A Sad Ending?

Disney's "Frozen" has been a big hit that even up to now, two years after it has been released, it remains popular. Even those who are skeptical about it was drawn to its power. Since the sequel was announced in March this year, fans have been excitedly anticipating the next "Frozen" instalment. Rumors have been flying around left and right as to what "Frozen 2" will be about.

Now according to latest rumors, "Frozen" director Chris Buck reportedly hinted a sad ending for the sequel. Master Herald has reported that Buck told Movie News Guide that it is not going to be a happy ending for Anna and Elsa and that the two will be "the polar opposite to each other." The report also say that "Frozen 2" will focus on the individual character development of Anna and Elsa.

Many have been asking about a superpower for Anna and in an interview with HitFix, Buck and director Jennifer Lee revealed that Anna's power is love. While it's not like her sister's, love is very powerful and she uses it to save the day. Will it turn the other way around in the sequel?

Lee said, "You know, like a mama bear can raise a car off their kid with their super strength, love is very powerful."

In an interview with MTV, Buck reportedly shared that the theme of "Frozen 2" is pretty much done, but producers are still working hard on the whole plot because they want to inject a more meaningful message to its audience, something that would tackle social issues the kids can relate to.

Buck and Lee directed the first "Frozen." The sequel is produced by Peter Del Vecho. Eva Bella is reprising her role as the young Elsa. Idina Menzel (Queen Elsa), Kristen Bell (Anna), Josh Gad (Olaf), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) are all reprising their roles.

The official release date for "Frozen 2" is yet to be announced, but unfortunately it won't be out before 2018.
