Crash Bandicoot Update: Is It Going to Return Soon?

During the 2015 PlayStation Experience conference, SCEA president, Shawn Layden, was seen on stage wearing a Crash Bandicoot T-shirt with the iconic mascot on it, and gamers wondered if the mascot is going to return.

Following the appearance of Crash's shirt on stage at PSX, fans began to talk about the piece of clothing. With the rumors that Sony is buying the dormant series, gamers have been wondering of what will happen to the beloved bandicoot. It's possible that the two studios may want to take a shot at the franchise which had a big success in the gaming industry.

On the 20th anniversary of PlayStation, gamers will look back to the titles that gave them fond memories during the earlier days of their hobby. This can be a smart move for companies to sell older content which may give appeal to its now grown audience, as reported by Gamerant news.

As the years roll on, demand for Crash Bandicoot's return will continue, but if the plan fails, it will result in the decimation of the property.

A return of Crash Bandicoot will be worth seeing if it's a high-quality game. Otherwise, there's no reason in bringing it back, and gamers will not trust the brand going forward.

Sony knew exactly what it meant when Shawn Layden walked on stage with that T-shirt.

Sony President, Andrew House, has said in a recent interview that Sony would revive Crash Bandicoot.

According to an IGN report, it is something that has been thought and discussed about, and this is a shift for Sony. The company has started to say that there isn't anything wrong with going back and looking at characters that are still talked about by people, which were a big part of their childhood or their youth. Sony wouldn't definitely close the door on the revival of Crash Bandicoot.

Rumors already came out last year that Sony purchased Crash Bandicoot from Activision, but a spokesperson from Activision denied the rumors.
