Royal News: Kate Middleton Insists Own Hairstyle Despite Queen Elizabeth's Demand for Shorter Haircut

Kate Middleton's shorter hair is said to be ordered by Queen Elizabeth but the Duchess of Cambridge decided to do it her own way by cutting her hair gradually prior to getting into the current length of her hair.

Reports reveal that the Duchess was “quietly advised” by the Queen to shorten her golden locks.

“Word reaches me Kate was quietly advised to swap the glamour girl hairdo she sported at Wimbledon in July for a length more appropriate for a future head of The Firm,” wrote Charlotte Griffiths on Mail Online. “But as she did not want to admit defeat quickly, she has been making the transition in stages.”

As per observation, Middleton's hair was getting shorter and shorter because instead of cutting it short at once, she decided to cut it little by little since it might be an "emotional adjustment" on her part if she cut her hair at once.

The Duchess was seen with a slightly shorter hair while in London and was seen with an even shorter hair on Thursday night as stories about her donning the Lover's Knot tiara of Princess Diana while at the Buckingham Palace made rounds on the internet.

A previous report revealed that Queen Elizabeth had other thoughts about the hair of the Duchess when Prince William shared about what he thought about Middleton's locks.

"The Queen gave a regal shrug of indifference, but added, 'I do believe your wife should stop coloring her hair! Gray is rather dignified, don't you agree?” a source told Star Pulse.

Meanwhile, hairdresser Richard Ward revealed that the 33-year-old Duchess cut her hair because of her hectic schedule and she is busy taking care of her two-year-old son Prince George and seven-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte.

“It’s a practical style and great option for a mom who has had long hair, who has a busy life and is short on time,” Ward said according to People. "It's slightly more sophisticated but with all the benefits of long hair.”

Ward also said that the Duchess have added bangs because “it can add structure, soften the face and highlight or define features and is a very youthful look."
