‘Heroes of the Storm’ Gameplay: Blizzard Introduces ‘WarCraft’ Character Lunara, Features Unique Movements & Skills

Game developer Blizzard has announced that it will introduce a "Warcraft" playable character in the popular video game "Heroes of the Storm." The new playable character that will be part of the game is "Lunara," a report from Gamespot said.

"The studio released a hero spotlight video to showcase the character, which will be available as a part of this week's Winter Veil update. The video showcases her abilities as a ranged character and emphasizes her mobility on the battlefield, setting her apart from other champions. The character moves faster than the majority of other characters and her animations are described as somewhat unpredictable. All of her attacks, both basic and skills, apply stacks of poison damage to targeted enemies," Gameranx said, describing the abilities of the game's new playable character Lunara.

Listed below are some of Lunara's abilities, according to Gamespot.

  • "Noxious Blossom (Q): After a delay, causes area-of-effect damage over a small area.
  • Crippling Spores (W): Everyone affected by Nature's Toxin is slowed for a short duration.
  • Wisp (E): Spawns a wisp that can be used to freely scout out an area. It lasts for a certain amount of time or until it's attacked.
  • Thornwood Vine (R): Shoot an attack in a straight line, damaging all enemies it hits. It has up to three charges and can be fired rapidly.
  • Leaping Strike (R): Launch yourself over a target, doing damage and slowing them. It has two charges and can be used in rapid succession."

"The Heroes team continue to experiment and break rules with their designs, while exploiting tried and true elements like stacking poison damage and high-mobility. Taking away Lunara's mount but just making her really fast is interesting, and something for the community to poke and prod at even if it isn't in the right place just yet," PC Gamesn said.
