World's most expensive home was just sold for roughly $301 million. This is reportedly the priciest single family home that has been sold in the market.
According to Luxury Listings NYC, Chateau Louis XIV is a mansion outside Paris that got a world record price of €275 million which is roughly $301 million. It is a 56-acre estate that was built in a 17th Century style which is located between Versailles and Marly-le-Roi.
The property was sold to a Middle Eastern buyer via a private sale through Christie's International Real Estate, says Bloomberg.
Cogemad developed the property which took three years to construct. The majestic house includes a cinema, an aquarium, wine cellar and an amazing fountain that is covered in gold leaf.
The house developer said on his official website that "With elegantly planted parterres, a gleaming gold-leafed fountain, an infinite array of flowers, marble statues, bridle paths and a hedged labyrinth, the property's park and gardens evoke the genius of Le Notre," as he referred it to the gardener of King Louis XIV of France.
Meanwhile, the last record price paid for a single home was a penthouse in London and it was sold last 2011 for $221 million.
Back in September, Bloomberg reported that JPMorgan Chase & Co. is financing Los Angeles mansions and the starting selling price is $115 million. The real-estate investment company offered such deal in order to let extremely wealthy individuals to build a mansion that is bigger than the White House. To add more to that, it is located on a hillside which gives an amazing view of Los Angeles.
It has been reported that Junius Real Estate Partners that is also part of JPMorgan's private bank as well as Domvs London were able to acquire an 11-acre site near the Hotel Bel-Air just a year ago. They are set to prepare it for three estates.
