After almost a year of being suspended, Brian Williams is back at NBC. The 56-year-old newscaster returns to the network after a year away and fills in for Lester Holt, reporting on the latest terrorist threat that caused all of Los Angeles schools to close, a report from Hollywood Life said.
But even with the sensational return of their idol, Brian Williams' fans are not too thrilled about the negative comments that the newscaster is getting online. Williams was called "America's velvet voiced liar" by people who are not too happy about his return. He was kicked out of NBC News after he allegedly reported false stories about a year ago. He committed multiple embellishments on his Iraq War reporting and was suspended because of this. After he has served his suspension, he returned to television to cover Pope Francis' visit to the US for MSNBC.
Williams apologized for his out of control "ego" but still many have not forgiven the newscaster since he has somehow twisted the truth multiple times. Someone even commented that he will still "lie and fabricate stories that only happened in his mind."
Brian is also known for his exaggeration. Fans online imagined how the newscaster would possibly report about the L.A. terrorist threat. Perhaps he will claim to have seen the terrorist and the bomb itself.
