Madonna's tour for her Rebel Heart album in Manchester ended up in trouble. The "Like a Virgin" pop singer displayed her fury over the fans who booed her for being late for her show in Manchester Arena on Monday.
The 57-year-old lost her control as she stepped onstage and called out on fans as "diva b****" after bullying her for coming to the show an hour late. The delay was caused by a problem in the video system.
Before Madonna's tour started that night, an earlier announcement was made claiming that the problem was beyond the "Like a Prayer" songstress. However, several fans walked out with some irate fans shouting loud booes, as reported by Manchester Evening News.
"The video crashed. We had no video and we had to wait until we could reboot. No selfish diva b**** reason. If you diva b****es want to keep complaining about, it don't come to my show," an angry Madonna said after stepping onstage.
It was said that Madonna's tour in Manchester would not be finished until 11:30 pm, triggering fans to panic about not getting the bus or train for the late night show. The Manchester show pushed many fans to air their side on social media. Some took to Twitter to express their rage while blaming the music icon for the incident. Reports claim that the gate opened at 6:30 pm for Madonna to start her concert by 9 pm. The show began past 10 pm., according to MIRROR.
"Over 50mins late at Manchester Arena and no announcements. Not acceptable. People have jobs to go to @Madonna," wrote Tim Morton Davies on Twitter.
Madonna's tour in Manchester Arena is the only show she has for the northwestmost part of England for her "Rebel Heart" album. Her next concert will be in the Philippines at the Mall of Asia Arena on Dec. 16 and 20.
