‘Lupin III Italian Game’ Spoilers: Anime Special Set to Air on TV by 2016; Shows Lupin in His Youth; Updates and Tidbits

Lupin III or Rupan Sansei in Japanese, also known as Lupin the Third or Lupin the 3rd, is set to air on TV an anime special on January 2016. Such special will feature the famous thief in his younger days.

Fans can expect to be able to watch the anime special which is titled “Lupin III Italian Game” on NTV’s weekly “Friday Roadshow” programming block, according to Yibada and as reported on Anime News Network.

The special is set in Italy, as the title hints, and San Marino, which will follow the abduction of Rebecca Rossellini (Yujiko Fuji). She is an entrepreneur who is also featured in the current Lupin III anime series. Moreover, Lupin will also receive a written challenge from a certain person named “The Masked Count.” The purpose of the challenge is to see who is the first one to get the inheritance of Count Cagliostro."

In addition, the special is a part of the currently-airing Lupin III, which shows the famous master thief in his 20s.

Lupin III is originally a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Monkey Punch, which follows the life of master thief Arsène Lupin III, the grandson of Arsène Lupin, the gentleman thief of Maurice Leblanc's series of novels.

The manga series appeared first on Weekly Manga Action. Later, it managed to gain a media franchise that made way for further manga series, anime series and films.

"Lupin III Italian Game" anime special will be airing on NTV on January 8, 2016 at 9:00 p.m.
