One of the unexpected portrayals that the "Sons of Anarchy" cast had was the addition of actress C.C.H. Pounder for her role as the San Joaquin County District Attorney Tyne Patterson in the FX drama. Although the "Sons of Anarchy" already ended their regular seasons, Pounder revealed her way into the "Sons of Anarchy" series and how Kurt Sutter managed to screen her in the storyline.
CinemaBlend wrote that SOA creator Kurt Sutter knew Pounder in the past as she is also a cast of another FX crime drama,"The Shield", where Sutter also acted as a producer. Sutter then brought in Pounder to cast into the "Sons of Anarchy" as the District Attorney
"Once Kurt got the ball rolling and decided he wanted to go through the entire cast, somehow or another Patterson got cast. Sometimes it would even be a one-time thing, like when Chickie (Michael Chiklis) was a truck driver at the very end," Pounder recalled.
While the "Sons of Anarchy" series is dominated by males, it was reported that the onset of Pounder portraying her role made her question how she can belong in the FX drama.
"Pounder initially wondered why she was there, what with all the leather-clad gang members riding around on motorcycles. That's definitely part of the draw, though," based from Cinema Blend. "As Patterson, Pounder always did seem kind of uncomfortable around Jax and some others, as if intimidated by the unpredictability of a lifestyle that she didn't know much about. Or maybe she was just always wearing uncomfortable shoes. Point is, Pounder's awesome."
Meanwhile, the prequel of the "Sons of Anarchy" is currently on the works. Apart from the fans musing over Charlie Hunnam's comeback on the FX prequel, one confirmed cast will be Brad Pitt who will portray Jax Teller's father John Teller.
