'Star Wars' Facebook News: Users Can Add a Lightsaber In Their Profile Pic with One Click

Whether or not you're an avid fan of "Star Wars," it's highly likely you're aware that "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will see its premiere this week.

However, there's still something you might not know: you can add an element of the Force to your Facebook profile page.

It was just on Monday when the official "Star Wars" Facebook account made a tool available for everyone to use - to add a lightsaber to their own profile photos.

The accompanying caption reads "Awaken the Force within by adding Finn's lightsaber to your profile picture."

It's not just limited to Finn's lightsaber though. Mashable reports:

"And in keeping with the attention to fan service detail common to most things 'Star Wars,' users don't have to settle for one color - you can choose either a blue lightsaber (the color of the Jedi) or a red lightsaber (the color of the Sith). Even better, the red lightsaver is the new three-pronged lightsaber revealed in trailers last year."

In true Facebook fashion, the tool is easy to use - one click is all you need to be closer to the Force. When checking out the post, keep an eye out for the "Try It" button.

All you need to do then is to adjust your profile photo to fit the beloved weapon in no other than the classic style of "Star Wars."

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" already premiered in Los Angeles last evening. It hits theatres across the United States on December 18.

We suggest staying away from Facebook until then, though, unless you want to accidentally run into some spoilers on your feed. The film has already been released in select countries, while others watch it the day before the US release date.

Just in case you would want to play with a lightsaber as you fend off social media, you can download this "Great Lightsaber" app for iOS devices.
