Lee Jong Suk Contract With Wellmade Yedang Expires

"Pinocchio" actor Lee Jong Suk's contract with Wellmade Yedang expires in January 2016. Being one of the most popular Hallyu stars in Korea and other countries, fans are on the watch about Lee Jong Suk's next step with regards to his career. Will he renew his contract or look for another talent management agency?

According to a report from Allkpop, a rep from Wellmade confirmed to Newsen, "Lee Jong Suk's contract termination is drawing near."

"However, as much as we are discussing the conditions of renewing the contract, it's a bit early to express that his contract has terminated. After [Lee Jong Suk] debuted, he was at one company for a long time, so he is discussing the different scenarios [of the situation]. Before his contract is up, he plans to finish his discussion with the company executives," the rep added.

Lee Jong Suk debuted as a runway model in 2005 at the age of 15, the youngest male model so far of the Seoul Collection program for Seoul Fashion Week. Jong Suk ventured into acting in 2010 when he starred in the SBS drama "Prosecutor Princess." The same year, he also had a supporting role in "Secret Garden."

With Lee Jong Suk's natural acting talents and charms, he got his first lead role in a series in 2012 for KBS' "School 2013" where he played as Go Nam Soon and as First Lieutenant Ji Seok Hyun in a film "R2B: Return to Base." He is popularly known for acting opposite Park Shin Hye in the SBS drama "Pinocchio" in 2014.

Last Dec. 8, Lee Jong Suk was appointed as the ambassador for Korean Culture Festival. The appointment ceremony was held at the Sunshine Mall. The festival is ongoing and will conclude on Dec. 25 in Chongqing City. Activities include Sino-Korean Innovative Industry Ceremony, K-pop show case and Korean culture exhibition.
