Meg Ryan is The Mystery Buyer of Hank Azaria’s New York City Loft

Meg Ryan, the "You've got Mail" actress, is reportedly the mystery buyer of "Smurfs" actor Hank Azaria's New York City loft.

Last year, Azaria sold his loft in the co-op 84 Mercer Street located in the SoHo neighborhood for $8 million. At that time it was reported that the buyer purchased the home under a trust. Now, the Real Estalker (via Variety) reports that the mystery buyer was none other than Meg Ryan.

Azaria bought the home in 2005 for $4.6 million from photographer and director Cindy Sherman. He rented it out for $16,000 a month in 2011 and finally unloaded it last year.

Ryan moved into the house after her split from husband Dennis Quaid. The residence is a 4,000-square-foot home that has three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Floor plans from Streeteasy show that the entrance of the fifth-floor house opens into a foyer that leads into a narrow atrium. Straight ahead, the atrium opens into a bedroom and an office but to its right - it opens into the large living room.

A media room sits to the left of the living room, while the kitchen and a bedroom sit on the right. The master suite is straight ahead of the living area. A mud room, a gym and a laundry are also part of the house.

Previous listing photos showed stone-tiled and hardwood flooring along with high drywall ceilings, French windows and exposed brick walls in the living area.

Ryan may have gotten a little bored of the house because news had it that the actress was looking for a new house in the Big Apple. She recently split with her rocker boyfriend John Mellencamp after dating for three years.

"It was the distance," a source told People Magazine. "She lives in New York and he resides in Indiana. It was the long distance that ultimately was the cause."

Meanwhile, Hank Azaria recently dropped $9.2 million on a co-op residence in the upper West Side of New York City. Azaria's new pad is just across Central Park and provides ample views of the area, about 63 feet of the Western front. The home has a total of nine rooms - four bedrooms and four full and one half bathroom.
