PlayStation 2 games are now being brought back to life through Sony's emulation technology, and the tech giant wants to hear your suggestions on what games to include next.
PlayStation Worldwide Studios America International Software Development & SpecOps head Dave Tack used his Twitter account to extend the tech company's invitation for PS2 and PS4 fans to suggest what classic games they would like to be made available on the new hardware.
Though there is no assurance from Sony that their requests would be granted, more than a thousand has responded to the invitation and the post has gained more than 400 retweets and favorites.
Among the latest inclusion in the PS2 playable games roster are PaRappa the Rapper 2, Rogue Galaxy, The King of Fighters 2000, The Mark of Kri, War of the Monsters. The much awaited The King of Fighters 2000 will be added soon according to Sony. Also, rumors that Max Payne will also be made available are circulating, but this has not been confirmed by Sony yet.
Sony's emulation technology copies the environment of PS2 console which allows the games to be played in PS4, possibly with higher resolution. Through this innovation, PlayStation is expected to have more sales as PS fans will have to buy the same PS2 games for them to be played on the new device.
To date, PS4 has sold more than 30 million units, the fastest rate in PlayStation history, according to the tech giant. And it is more than grateful for the console's patrons.
