Gaming News and Updates: Corrin, Bayonetta Added as Playable Characters by 'Super Smash Bros' for 'Nintendo;' 6 New Costumes; Which Characters Gets Amiibo Figurines?

Gamers can now rejoice as more characters will be added to the Nintendo games that they love.

During its ‘final’ video presentation on Tuesday, Masahiro Sakurai, a Japanese video game director, designer, and writer, best known as the creator of the Kirby and Super Smash Bros. series, announced that Corrin and Bayonetta will be added to the Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS games. The characters of Fire Emblem Fates are now playable characters. The announcement also included that both of the new characters will be getting amiibo figurines as reported by Anime News Network.

The company had recently made another announcement that Cloud from Final Fantasy will be made into Amiibo figurines, as well. Fans can also expect to be able to buy the Amiibo figurines of R.O.B., Roy and Ryu.

It is also announced that 6 more new costumes, in addition to a Chocobo Hat and Geno Costume for Gunners, will be released for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U game. The costumes will be helpful for gamers to upgrade their characters and keep them ahead of the game.

The following is the full list of costumes for the Super Smash Bros Mii Fighter DLC which will be available in February 2016.

- Ashley from WarioWare, Inc: Mega Microgames for female Sword Fighters
- Bionic Armor for Brawlers
- Gil from The Tower of Druaga for male Sword Fighters
- Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog for male Brawlers
- Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog for male Gunners
- Takamaru from Nazo no Murasame-jo for male Sword Fighters
