David Arquette Buys Iconic Crazy Girls Club for $1.5 Million

David Arquette, the famous "Scream" actor, has reportedly splashed $1.5 million on the legendary Crazy Girls Strip Club in Los Angeles.

TMZ broke news of the deal and also reported that Arquette plans on renovating the place and turning it into a "burlesque show".

Arquette had been negotiating a deal with the owners for about three weeks now and finally managed to strike one. The owners were asking $1.7 million, but "The Tripper" star managed to snag it for a discount.

In a previous interview on "Watch What Happens Live," Arquette denied that he bought the club but insisted he had yet to complete the transaction.

"No, no, not yet. I wanna do a burlesque thing. But I don't know who leaked that stuff... In Hollywood... everybody talks and then they get everything wrong," he said when asked about the deal.

Now that he has purchased the place, word has it that Arquette plans on giving the racy club some class and an "old school touch" to it that would attract high-class spenders.

Crazy Girls Club is located in Sunset Boulevard and has been around for quite a long time. In fact, the famous rock band Motley Crue filmed its song "Girls Girls Girls" in this club.

The place has lost some of its hey day popularity as more hip joints have sprung up in the area. Visitors have mostly given the club four stars on Yelp and one of the revires of the club reads:

"I like this place. I don't think it's great. I don't think it sucks. I just plan like it. The girls are very nice and I always have a great time here. I can't say much more than that though. This place is well-priced. Pretty girls. and you get what you went for"

Crazy Girls Club is being touted as Arquette's first venture into the adult business, but the actor also owns Hooray Henry's, Beacher's Madhouse and Bootsy Bellows, some of the most popular Hollywood hot spots in town.

News of the club's purchase comes just as Arquette and ex-wife Courtney Cox sold their A. Quincy Jones-designed Beverly Hills home.
