"Gundam Breaker 3" is announced for release on for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita according Bandai Namco.
Fans of Gundam will no doubt be happy about the announcement where they could customize an extremely powerful Gundam and destroy other robots during the game.
"Gundam Breaker" games are interesting because "instead of leveraging the original anime they focus on making a game around the model kits instead," Forbes wrote.
Said model kits are called Gunpla which is a play on the words “Gundam plastic model.” Fans can modify them to create their own robots and can even switch around parts to make a personal Gundam army.
Gundam Breaker's third installment of the action-packed Gundam game features the combination of all the robot clashes of the customization of the gunpla kits.
In the game, extra parts will be dropped from the robots after defeating an enemy which can be used to create an original Gundam. The robot a gamer created can be used to take down enemies.
The new version includes a SD Gundam series. To recall, SD Gundam: G Generation Genesis was recently released. The new "Gundam Breaker 3" will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Famitsu reported.
After the announcement of the game, screenshots of the upcoming game were shared by Bandai Namco. Like the previous Gundam Breaker titles, the new game will also focus on playing one's “own Gundam” and have battles between 1/144 scale Gundams against 1/60 scale Gundams, Siliconera reported.
Gundam which is commonly referred to as the Gundam Series in Japan, is a science fiction media franchise that is created by Sunrise featuring giant robots called "mobile suits." These titular mobile suits carry the name "Gundam" which got famous as a TV series, films, manga, novels, video games and models of various sizes.
Anime TV series called "Mobile Suit Gundam" franchise premiered on April 7, 1979 and started to become a popular cultural icon in Japan up to this day.
